Losing him has set me into a cycle of denial and materialism and the need to get organized. I'm not ashamed of it because I'm probably not even going to buy any of it. I can't fill the void of the one I want with the things I want, but it's alright to dream.

I can't be sure that this state of mind is not of my own design. I wish there was an over-the-counter test for loneliness like this.

How come everything I think I need always comes with batteries?
